GORETEX
The GORE-TEX® membrane is the heart of all GORE-TEX® products. It contains over 9billion microscopic pores per square inch. These pores are 20,000times smaller than a water droplet, but 700times larger than a water vapor molecule, which makes the GORE-TEX® membrane completely waterproof from the outside, while allowing perspiration to escape from the inside. An oleophobic, or oil-hating, substance is integrated into the membrane, preventing the penetration of body oils and insect repellent that could otherwise affect the membrane.
GORE-TEX® fabrics are created by laminating our GORE-TEX® membrane to high-performance textiles, then sealing them with an innovative solution for guaranteed waterproof protection.
GORE-TEX® Footwar with XCR Product Technology is ideal for moderate and warmer conditions. Great for higher activity levels (high-impact sports)and changing conditions, including when you travel.

BOA

When you are in a hurry, it is not easy to tie your shoe laces. The Boa Lacing System provides custom comfort with smooth and even closure in the quickest way. The replaceable Steel shoe lace was developed especially for the Boa System and tested with thousands of in field use. It is made of 19 individual super high strength strands of aircraft grade stainless steel.
These strands are braided together to form a long lasting, abrasion resistant, super strong lace. These strands are then wrapped in a specially formulated engineering polymer coating to provide a smooth, durable and friction-free surface.

Also, it came from the perfect day hike that was cut short when the path turned from dirt to packed snow as the elevation of the hill increased. It grew out of the frustration of having to buy different shoes for each season it evolved when we began to think about the hazardous black ice laced trek to the grocery store. Our all-year outdoor lifestyle demanded a solution, a totally new innovative solution, and IceLock was born.
